ABOUT STREAM
STREAM is an international collaborative research study endorsed by the Board Meeting of Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) as one of its International Research Group (IRG) activities. Institute for Transport Policy Studies (ITPS) provides secretariat and other research supports.
STREAM study acknowledges that East Asian Megacities are experiencing acute urban transportation problems with respect to mobility, accessibility and sustainability. Special characteristics of these cities call a new perspective to explore strategic policy measures for sustainable urban transport.
For achieving sustainable urban transport in East Asian Megacities, this international collaborative research study aims to make policy recommendations for different levels of policy making - visions, strategies and implementations.
For the purpose of conducting detailed case study on urban mobility situation including historical and institutional setting, case studies of the following representative cities from Eastern Asia are conducted.
