Since 2011, Institution for Transport Policy Studies (ITPS) has been conducting "A Study of Long-term Transport Action Plan for ASEAN" in collaboration with research organizations and experts in countries of ASEAN in order to deliver initial recommendations on long-term traffic policy in ASEAN in response to climate change.

This international conference was held with the primary objective of promoting relevant parties' understandings of research outcomes so far, current situations or approaches of ASEAN countries on transport and energy, environment, and climate change issues. With the attendance of Dr. Bambang Susantono, Vice Minister for Transportation, Republic of Indonesia, government officials and experts from ASEAN countries and international organizations engaged in an active exchange of views with regard to policies and the future vision of transport and society in each ASEAN country.
