@The special event named gLow Carbon Transport Systems in Emerging Economiesh was held in Delhi Sustainable Development Summit 2011. This special event was co-hosted by Institution for Transport Policy Studies (ITPS) and TERI.
@This event was started by opening remark from Dr. Pachauri, director of TERI. And Ms. Tanaka (ITPS) made a presentation regarding results of gStudy of Transport System in a Low Carbon Societyh, and Ms. Ghate (TERI) made a presentation regarding results of regional study in India, which is one of the parts of gStudy of Transport System in a Low Carbon Societyh.
@In panel discussion, Mr. Dalkmann (Transport Research Laboratory, UK), Mr. Lohia (Ministry of Urban Development, Gov. of India) and Mr. Rao (Ministry of Railways, Gove. in India) were invited as special panelists. And an active discussion regarding present states and problems of urban and inter-urban transport development in India and perspective for low carbon transport in developing countries was done by panelists and participants.
