In Japan, it has been more important to vitalize the regional societies by means of promoting inbound tourists with the perspective of the deepening the relationship with East Asian economies, in the age of less population. That's why this group seeks and studies the following individual key issues to find policy implications to promote the inbound tourism;
i)@ to capture the factors that affect the selection of the foreign destinations by the East Asian people, based on the time series analysis of the trend of their outbound travel.
ii)@to explore how to add the East Asian tourists' interest to Japan as a whole or to its various tourist sites by means of analyzing their impression of Japan
iii)@to grasp the items in the Japan's domestic transportation to be improved in order to increase the attractiveness from the point of foreign travelers
iv)@to develop the concept of new tourism routes for foreign travelers in Japan to complement the existing tourism regions in order to respond to the diversifying needs of foreigners
